This season Lacoste iconic crocodile logo gets redefined. The brand’s artistic director Felipe Oliveira Baptista enlists M/M (Paris) to redesigned the logo from “A to Z” in a capsule collection and limited edition.
The acclaimed graphic design duo conformed by Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag uses the one of its favorites, the alphabet, to graphically redesigned the French brand’s logo according to the geometry of the letters composing the brand’s name:
The L stylises the crocodile’s tail while the E represents its open mouth.
Garments include Polo shirts in the classic Lacoste colors (white, navy, red, sky blue or flamingo pink), along sweaters, wrist and headbands embroidered with the word ”LACOSTE”, replacing the crocodile. Plus, a unisex T-shirt with the whole alphabet in which only the letters spelling out LACOSTE are colored. Graphics are repeated on one side of the reversible Anna bag, the other side showing a print with a repetition of the successful pair’s logo, M/M (Paris).
A ”Days Of The Week” version of the unisex polo with the 7 letters of L.A.C.O.S.T.E and one outsize letter for each of the seven polos. A heather grey or plain black hoodie and graphic poncho combining the alphabet print with the M/M (Paris) pattern. A pair of white L.12.12. sneakers adorned with the L.A.C.O.ST.E patch and fitted with red sole. An essential and colorful accessory from the #LacosteMM Collab is the leather sports bag with the redesigned graphic imprint.
