Humberto Leon and Carol Lim unveiled Kenzo’s second Memento Collection at Le Trianon during Paris Fashion Week. Inspired by the archives of the house, the collection pays tribute to Kenzo’s Takada 1986 launch of Kenzo Jeans, a radical move by the designer which fused the eastern principles with the western quintessential American fabric: denim. Iconic prints from the Maison, like ”The Great Wave Off Kanagawa” and ”The Tiger” came to new life across the pieces. The Memento collection clearly shed light on the brand’s rich history.
