Anthony Johns “We need to promote diversity and inclusivity for all people to be accepted and respected in this industry”

Model Anthony Johns is photographed for this online cover story by Nicholas Chung-Cummings. Johns, who started modeling in 2016, tells us about his routine and how to be fit and healthy in order to have a very successful modeling career.

Q: When did you start modeling?

A: I started modeling in 2016.

Q: Which has been your best fashion or photographic work you’ve done? 

A: The best fashion work/photographic experience was doing a workshop in New Jersey by Carlos Alvarado.

Q: What would you recommend to young models who starting in the fashion industry, how to take care of their body?

A: A healthy diet and maintaining your skin with water and sleeping good and the right amount of hours are really important to have a healthy and fit body.

Q: What is your daily sports and nutrition routine? 

A: First of all I take my vitamins, B12, and vitamin A. I love the gym and what I most enjoy doing is cardio and using the sauna, which helps me a lot to achieve my goals.

Q: Do you think the pandemic has changed anything in the modeling industry?

A: The pandemic changed the way we communicate and the way we entertain ourselves by using zoom and very different technological techniques and platforms.

Q: Which cities have you visited?

A: Seoul South Korea, Tokyo, Miami, and New York City.

Q: What do you need needs to change for the better in the fashion industry?

A: We need to promote diversity and inclusivity for all people to be accepted and respected in this industry. I would like the fashion industry to celebrate all ages and body shapes. The humanity of fashion represents our personality and families. We all deserved to be represented in the fashion industry in which we are working on.
